Write an equation of a line with the given slope and y-intercept?

  • m=1
    b=-1

  • look in your math book and ask your teacher for help hun

    but i will give you the answer anyway

    y=x-1

  • y=x-1

  • For the future, remember y=mx+b, and you'll be good to go. :-) Have a nice day!

  • y = x - 1

  • y=x-1

    The equation for a line is always y=mx+b.
    Since m is one, you can just say x instead of 1x, because that's redundant. b is -1, so instead of saying +-1, we just say -1.

  • well... in slope-intercept form which is y=mx+b it would be y=x-1....

  • if it's just the equation
    it's easy
    just plug them into
    y=mx+b
    so the answer is
    y=1x-1

  • considering the formula is (y=mx+b)... You should right it as (Y=1x+-1)

  • -1=mx+1

    idk i forgot all that bullshit

  • y=1x-1

    1 is the slope...
    -1 is the y inyercept...

    the formula is "y=mx+b" and will follow you through highschool so if you dont understand it get help...

  • Y = x - 1

    It's simple.
    The regular equation for any line is y=mx + b.
    So you substitute what you know. M = 1 and B = -1
    Y = (1)x + (-1) which is Y = x -1
