Write an equation of a line with the given slope and y-intercept?
b=-1
but i will give you the answer anyway
y=x-1
The equation for a line is always y=mx+b.
Since m is one, you can just say x instead of 1x, because that's redundant. b is -1, so instead of saying +-1, we just say -1.
it's easy
just plug them into
y=mx+b
so the answer is
y=1x-1
idk i forgot all that bullshit
1 is the slope...
-1 is the y inyercept...
the formula is "y=mx+b" and will follow you through highschool so if you dont understand it get help...
It's simple.
The regular equation for any line is y=mx + b.
So you substitute what you know. M = 1 and B = -1
Y = (1)x + (-1) which is Y = x -1
