Now, in a week, right before Christmas? Until when should I keep it there? Until after new year? Now! It's a lot of work you might as well enjoy it for a longer length of time. I agree...now is a good time. We go with a real tree and put it up the Saturday after Thanksgiving and leave it up until after New Years.Whenever you like, and however long you like. In my family, the tradition is to put up a tree right about now and leave it up until New Year's Day.
I did see a heart-warming story some years ago about a family who put up a tree- then the father got taken hostage. And they kept the tree up until he came home.NOW!!!! lol
we put ours up right after Thanksgiving!
and usually keep it up until New Years!!
usually the day after Christmas we turn our tree into a "New Years Tree" its really cool!
Happy Holidays!Depends on the situation. If you're having a living tree, (a cut one) I'd suggest you get it a few days before Christmas and take it down a few days afterwards. They often loose their leaves/fronds and make a mess. If it's a potted or fake one, put it up whenever you want to. If you have small children you may want to leave it til just before Christmas so they don't ruin the decorations etc. I usually put mine up 5-7 days before Christmas and take it down 2nd-3rd January. What does "ecological one" mean? If you meant to say "fake" then you should know that most experts would agree that real trees are better overall for the environment. Fake trees: Harsh chemicals, non-biodegradeable, Chinese sweatshops. Support the US economy: buy a real tree from a US farmer. Report Abuse
When we lived in New Orleans it was pretty traditional to put it up for Thanksgiving and take it down after Mardi Gras. My wife and I were very excited about our first Christmas together about 13 yrs ago and put the tree up when they went on sale at Walmart which was around Halloween that year, and we have put our tree up pretty early ever since. I would say it really depends on how excited you personally get about the holidays. I really think its not worth worrying over what other people think about when you put things up, or take them down. I'm a little bummed that we haven't put ours up yet this year. We have a major renovation going on with our house that is almost finished and the tree is waiting on things getting painted this coming Monday. Hope you have a Merry Christmas.Put it up now and keep it up till shortly after new year.
Goodness knows those things are a lot of work to set up, midas well get as much enjoyment as possible. It depends on if its a fake tree or a real one. If its a fake tree, put it up now. If its real, do it about 2 weeks before Christmas.Ontop of your tv.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
