If you have concrete kitchen counters do you like them?
Especially when you have stainless steal around the house.
(e.g. refrigerator, drawers.)
But if you have wood items, concrete goes well.
However, concrete and concrete aren't a good combination, so just be aware of that. Report Abuse

And its porous, so you'll have to seal it every year.
It can crack, but it's unlikely.
Easy to scratch, but can be professionally buffed out, for a cost..$$$$
Very beautiful, make sure to pick your own slab.
There are other option that are becoming more popular:
Quartz.
Corian (Solid Stone).
Both of these are engineered stone. I prefer either of them.
They won't sell your home as easily, because they are less known, and don't have the reputation granite has.
Man-made = stronger, anti-microbial, non-porous, etc.
Won't have to reseal them.
Corian especially is easier to have to scratches buffed out.
Do some serious research before investing this much money into your countertop. Talk to some professionals. There are many options.
