I find folders with music all over the place! Can I have it put all the songs and playlists in "my Music"?

  • iTunes can do this for you (do you use iTunes?)

    in iTunes go to Edit/Preferences/Advanced and click Keep iTunes folder organised. Also tick Copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library. Then go to File/Library/Consolidate library. This will make iTunes copy all your music in iTunes into My Documents/My Music/iTunes/iTunes Music folder. You then can delete all the folders and files from other locations as they will be in My Music.

    If you don't use iTunes - sorry but you'll probably have to do it manually.
