Too many people here already for Fashion, go to a growing market like Tokyo or Hong Kong.
Too much crime ! I lived there once. Where I live now ; My house is never locked, and I leave my car keys in the ignition, all the time. Try THAT in NYC !I myself would love to live in NYC. That is where everything is happening. And you wouldn't start right off with the big names, but you could get a job with a place that is at least in the industry (even if it's just unloading boxes) and try to intern (non paid job) at a magazine to get your foot in the door. Volunteer with places that have some connections, but also do it for the purpose of helping and volunteering. Stay grounded and do the right things and it should come to you eventually. But it will take time so don't get frustrated if it hasn't happened after a year or two or three. Just make sure you have a plan before moving there including expenses it will take to live there. It is costly. Good luck!i live in new york city and i love it. yes there are crimes, but there are crimes in every big city. i'm in college right now and there are thousands of internships and jobs in the fashion field. its truly the city that doesn't sleep and you can do just about anything. however, its an expensive city to live in, so be prepared.If you are talking about the state I think it would be a great place to live. If you are talking about NYC...it is a great city and really up-beat. You will have to put a lot of thought into it if you are planning to move there. It is really busy and loud. If you are wanting to work in the fashion field I would not just go there to start from scratch. Try to talk to some people and get connections. it is not easy to enter the big wild world on New York city without a reliable plan. but yes, i think it would be fun to live there! Hope this helps!
My friend, New York City is a good place to live for someone in the fashion field. This is the fashion capital of the world.
Good luckas a new yorker i am biased, but i think that new york is amazing. We have everything, but everything is REALLY expensive compared to the rest of the city. Also, don't come here unless you have lots of connections, especially in a field such as fashion. You will get eaten alive if you take it like a cakewalk, its VERY competitive. Everytime you walk down the street you will see new businesses, and next week there will be a different one in its place. #If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
